Today, we sat down with our artist T Bank for an interview. Here is what he had to say:
1. How has your hometown shaped who you are as a musician today?
My hometown shaped who I am as a musician by the culture of the streets, because it was the culture of hip hop that was the main trend in my community.
2. If you could single out one artist or band that has influenced you, who would that be and why?
The artist that have influenced me the most are Eminem, 2Pac, and Fat Joe because they keep it real and show the power that music can bring to our society.
3. If you won the lottery tomorrow, what is the first thing you would buy?
If I won the lottery the first thing I would do is invest a percentage to gain more revenue.
4. What is your advice to fellow underground musicians in regards to remaining discipline in your craft?
My advice to my fellow artists for remaining discipline to their craft would be to maintain consistency and to be organized with marketing promotion releases etc.
5. Do you have any songwriting or recording tips you’d like to share?
Songwriting tips would be to count the bars in the beat instrumental ect and write in bars according to your time of bars.
6. How does your family and close friends feel about your music career? Have they always been supportive or have there been issues in the past?
My family is more supportive with my music than my friends for the most part.
7. If you could open up for one famous artist or band, who would that be and why?
If I could open up for a artist or brand it would be Eminem because he’s one of my influences and has a good fan base.
8. If you could have a dinner with one musician who is no longer living, who would that be and why?
If I could have dinner with any musician that’s no longer living it would be 2Pac because he’s one of my favorite artist.
9. In your time with LiquidSound Records, what is the number one thing you have enjoyed the most? Also, what is your advice to those artists who would be interested in joining the roster in the future?
In my time with LiquidSound Records, what I like best is they are fast and hold results that’s what I would also tell any other curious artist.
10. In ten years, where do you see your music career?
In ten years, I see my music career being stronger and more successful with more revenue and a larger fan base.
